Measuring the laser light permeability of plastics
Insufficient light permeability of the transparent joining partner often lead to unwanted marks on the surface and sometimes even results in defects in the welded seam. The most common reason for this change in transparency of the plastic is ageing of the material, the application of different process parameters or insufficient cleansing of the injection moulding tool during the change of material.However, these errors are often recognised during process control but if the components are already in the machine, then this will most certainly result in some downtime.
IRSpec enable the control and potential segregation of injection moulding parts before the subsequent treatment. The equipment has been designed for mobile use, is easy to handle and sells at a very reasonable price.
